Job summary

Adecco is assisting a manufacturing client in Greenfield, MA to hire a Maintenance Technician I. This hands-on role repairs and maintains production machinery, engines, motors, and conveyor systems to keep daily operations running smoothly.

The position offers 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, with pay ranging from $25 to $27 per hour. The successful candidate will use CMMS to log work, perform preventive maintenance, and support tooling and inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Valid driver's license in good standing with reliable transportation.
• Ability to adapt and change work direction on short notice to accommodate business needs.
• Knowledge of basic shop tools including grinders, mag drill, hammer drill, and micrometers.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and through email.
• Strong basic math skills including fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, and graph interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain production machinery and equipment including motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance duties as prescribed by the CMMS, including greasing equipment, changing oil, cleaning filters, and general maintenance tasks.
• Use and understand the CMMS to accurately catalog work completed and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Communicate with shift leaders and production employees to understand daily maintenance needs.
• Interpret production setups to accurately perform tooling.
• Complete all maintenance checklists fully and accurately.
