Saft is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Valdosta, GA. You will ensure proper functioning and maintenance of facilities and equipment, diagnose issues, perform routine tasks, and assist in installing new equipment to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of industrial experience.
  • Industrial Mechanic and/or Electrical training.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role.
  • Ability to use multimeters and general instrumentation (HMI, PLCs, remote I/O, etc.).
  • Ability to read and understand schematics/drawings, mechanical prints.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, etc.
  • Knowledge of CMMS (Limble)

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and resolve any maintenance issues.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts.
  • Troubleshoot and install pumps, motors, and electrical components.
  • Learn basic work instructions for unit operations by interacting with operators and engineers.
  • Collaborate with team to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in installation of new equipment and repairs.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations.

  • Troubleshoot and install the following vacuum pumps, positive displacement pumps, centrifugal pumps, servo pumps (Hibr), AC/DC motors, and electrical components (relays, contractors, fuses, I/O modules)
  • Learn and retain knowledge of the basic work instructions for all unit operations by interacting with operators and engineers as needed to support troubleshooting activities
  • Collaborate with other team members to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment activities and repairs
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations
