Job summary

Carolina Beverage Group is seeking an Maintenance Line Technician to support the Cold Spring, MN facility. You will assist in maintaining plant processes with emphasis on safety, quality and productivity.

This role requires hands‑on maintenance across electrical, mechanical and commissioning tasks. The position offers 12‑hour rotating shifts (6a‑6p or 6p‑6a) with a 2‑2‑3 schedule, plus a $750 night sign‑on bonus and a $2 night shift differential where applicable.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' experience in a Production environment preferred
• Strong mechanical background including maintenance, plumbing, electrical, welding, heating and refrigeration
• Able to work in confined spaces and with high pressure steam
• Work around noise, dust, variable temperatures and production chemicals
• Communicate effectively with all levels of employees, vendors, customers and visitors
• Regular bending, stooping and lifting up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure line initiatives meet objectives including changes to technology, processes and roles
• Drive rapid adoption of change and train others for proficiency
• Attend training on new processes and equipment
• Monitor area activities during shift
• Learn and apply new processes and lead/co‑ordinate coworkers
• Evaluate and continuously improve processes to minimize changeover times
• Maintain equipment, records and sanitation logs and ensure GMP compliance
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/customer

JOB TITLE:Maintenance Line Technician

Status: non-exempt Position Summary: This position is in charge of assisting in the maintenance of all plant processes in their assigned area of responsibility, maintaining the highest levels of safety, quality and productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the new production line initiatives meet organizational objectives this will include changes to technology and systems, changes to business processes and changes in organizational structure and job roles.
• Strive to achieve quick adoption of change and ensure efficient understanding and training in order to achieve organizational proficiency to handle new initiatives and projects.
• Attends training on new processes and equipment. This may include self study.
• Monitors activities in area of responsibility at all times during shift.
• Must learn and apply new processes and procedures in area of responsibility, as well as train, lead and communicate effectively with all co-workers.
• Responsible for evaluating and continuous improvement of processes in area of responsibility working to minimize change over times.
• Ensures that every detail and specification of each product is met.
• Follows work direction effectively, completing/overseeing all record keeping and performing all tests as required.
• Maintains spare parts inventory, notifying manager when running low.
• Maintains appropriate sanitation records, keeping track of what chemicals are used and in what concentration.
• Gives Public Relations tours and acts as spokesperson for the company when requested.
• Operates and maintains all equipment area of assigned responsibility, ensuring it working properly and as efficiently as possible.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or required by the supervisor/customer.
• Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in Employee Handbook.
• Adhere to and comply with quality production and Food Safety.

Position Requirements:

• 1-3 years' experience in a Production environment is preferred, but not required.
• Extended standing on hard surfaces.
• Must have strong mechanical background, including thorough knowledge in areas of maintenance, plumbing, electrical, welding, heating, and refrigeration
• May be required to work and direct in confined spaces and work with high pressure steam
• Will work around noise, dust, variable temperatures and use of production chemicals
• Knowledge working in Outlook, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and use of company web-based programs
• Regular bending, stooping and lifting up to 60lbs.
• Position must be able to communicate with all levels of employees, vendors, customers and visitors.
