Job summary

IPSY in Belton, MO is seeking a foundational Technician I to perform routine preventative maintenance, safely operate basic repair tools, and help sustain day-to-day conveyor uptime at our fulfillment center.

Shift: Weekend (Fri–Mon, 7:00–17:30, with coverage for 1st and 2nd shifts as needed) and onsite. You will follow safety protocols, conduct basic inspections, log maintenance activities, and support parts replacement as required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of LOTO safety protocols.
• Experience with preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to read manuals and logs.

Responsibilities

• Execute Safety Protocols: perform basic LOTO to ensure zero-energy pockets near work locations.
• Perform System Inspections: identify hazards from mechanical movement and electrical shock; complete fall hazard training.
• Conduct Field Maintenance: use drills, impacts, and hand tools for basic mechanical updates and verify fastener sizes.
• Support Part Replacements: track conveyor parts and maintain daily maintenance logs.

About the Role

We are seeking a foundational Technician I to perform routine preventative maintenance (PMs), safely operate mechanical repair tools, and help sustain day-to-day warehouse or production conveyor uptime.

Shift: Weekend Shift (Friday through Monday, 0700-1730 / 7am-5:30pm)

* Must be able to cover 1st and 2nd shifts as needed

This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and is based onsite in our Belton, MO fulfillment center.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Execute Safety Protocols : Conduct basic LOTO procedures to guarantee zero-energy work pockets within 6 feet of the working location
• Perform System Inspections : Identify operational hazards linked to mechanical movements and electrical shock; complete fall hazard training courses
• Conduct Field Maintenance : Use drills, impacts, and hand tools to perform basic mechanical updates, checking metric vs. standard fastener matches
• Support Part Replacements: Identify and track basic conveyor parts; record daily maintenance logs while maintaining chemical storage areas safely

What We Are Looking For

• Safety mindset focusing on OSHA and NFPA safety compliance
• Industrial Conveyance and sortation maintenance experience
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnosis and repairs
• Intermediate efficiency in Office and/or Google suite applications
• Experience utilizing a CMMS and preventative maintenance scheduling
• AC/DC motor troubleshooting, repair and instillation
• PLC, WCS and WMS systems experience
• Vendor management and parts room experience

Pay is based on several non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, skills, and location. IPSY offers a bonus and competitive benefits. Final compensation is determined by experience and skills.

Salary Range:

$25 - $29 USD
