Nucor Rebar Fabrication Southwest in Boise, ID is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to support machine repair, preventive maintenance, and safety initiatives. You will assist in safety device installation, advise on equipment purchases, and uphold OSHA standards while maintaining equipment reliability and lean inventory practices.

The role emphasizes routine maintenance, troubleshooting, training teammates, and keeping meticulous repair records to minimize downtime and ensure safe,

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Familiar with OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the fabrication division with machine repair, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Assist safety team in the design, development and/or installation of machine guards and safety devices.
• Advise Branch Manager in machine purchasing and installation.
• Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; demonstrate the ability to uphold safety policies and procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure safe and optimum functioning equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Develop and maintain inspection checklists to empower operators to own maintenance.
• Maintain and grow the critical spare parts list to support Lean inventory principles.
• Troubleshoot, repair and modify equipment to maintain safety and production efficiency.
• Train key shop teammates on new equipment and/or modifications.
• Maintain repair records.
