Job summary

Spectrum Control in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Technician to set up, maintain, calibrate, modify and repair production and measurement equipment, and to assist in the upkeep of the plant and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in industrial maintenance or related trades, with HVAC or electrical troubleshooting experience, and proficiency with tools, welding, and electrical codes. Day-one benefits and a 4‑day, 10‑hour schedule with a 3‑day weekend are offered.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of industrial maintenance or construction trades experience.
  • Ability to work in teams and troubleshoot power and controls.
  • Strong background in HVAC or electrical machine troubleshooting; HVAC certified if applicable.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools; basic welding/brazing/soldering techniques.
  • Familiarity with conduit bending, digital multimeter, arc welder, torches, power and hand tools; NEC knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, fixtures.
  • Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes at various levels.
  • Set up, monitor, calibrate, and repair mechanical, electronic, and pneumatic production & measurement equipment; service HVAC and refrigeration as needed.
  • Assist in production/construction by installing conduit and wire, network cabling, lighting, controls, motors, and power distribution; welding/soldering as required.
  • Perform general maintenance including preventative maintenance under supervision.
  • Install or modify plant infrastructure systems to accommodate manufacturing changes.

Come join a workforce where we put you first!JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician sets up, maintains, calibrates, modifies and repairs production and measurement equipment and machinery and assists in the general maintenance and upkeep of the physical plant and associated infrastructure.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes at the country, state, and federal levels.Set up, monitor, calibrate, and repair mechanical, electronic, and pneumatic production & measurement equipment; modify, adjust, and/or repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment; install production equipment.Assist in production and/or construction & repair efforts by performing manufacturing processes such as installing conduit and wire, network cabling, lighting, controls, poly and single-phase motors, and power distribution systems, arc welding, gas welding, brazing, and soldering.Perform general maintenance including preventative maintenance under direction of supervisor.Maintain knowledge of current trade practices and procedures by reviewing trade publications other resources.Install or modify plant infrastructure systems to accommodate changes in manufacturing requirements and infrastructure upgrades.QUALIFICATIONS:Education: High School or EquivalentExperience Years: 3-5 yearsExperience Type: Industrial Maintenance or Construction Trades OR equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to work in teams; Power and controls troubleshooting, mechanical aptitude and basic construction skills such as writing, plumbing, carpentry, masonry; use of hand and power tools; basic welding and or brazing/soldering techniques, ability to safely use forklift and aerial work platform.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC or electrical machine troubleshooting.
