Job summary

Grace Haven Assisted Living and Memory Care is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair duties across our community. This part-time role requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays and outdoor work in varying weather.

You will collaborate with other staff, use a range of tools, and report any safety concerns to the supervisor. A high school diploma or equivalent and hands-on maintenance experience are preferred, with opportunities for advancement within

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or some college credits in a technical field, or related experience.
• Proficient in apartment maintenance: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural, appliance repair; drywall and painting experience.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals; write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems.
• Positive attitude and customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Operates tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Establishes and maintains good working relationships with team members.
• Identifies and reports broken equipment or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Keeps work area and equipment clean and safe per regulations.
• Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and the building/grounds.
• Maintains a positive customer service attitude with staff and residents.
