Job summary

McKinney Properties, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician to support multi-family housing properties with reliable, hands-on maintenance and responsive service.

The role covers plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, carpentry, and preventative maintenance, with on-call duties and a focus on keeping units and common areas in excellent condition. A valid driver's license and own tools are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow directions and see tasks through to completion.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation.
• 1-2 years of maintenance experience.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems plus painting, drywall repairs, and general carpentry; must provide basic tools and tool bag.

Responsibilities

• General apartment unit and common area maintenance, including appliance, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing installation/repairs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance service requests (within 24 hours).
• Maintain organized shop and inventory of parts.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents as directed.
• Schedule and complete Preventative Maintenance Program.
• Assist management with maintenance projects and monitor outside contractors.
