Job summary

Nolan Living is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep HVAC systems, mechanicals, and building structures in top shape at our Lenexa community.

The role requires HVAC certification (preferred), 4+ years in maintenance, strong knowledge of building systems, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset. On-site work with safety-focused operations and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification preferred, but not required. Type 2 or EPA Universal.
• 4+ years of maintenance experience, with at least 3 years in a trade-specific role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, tools, and safety procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, mechanical systems, and building structures.
• Participate in on-call for after-hours emergencies.
• Troubleshoot and respond to service requests efficiently and professionally.
• Inspect equipment and facilities to ensure safety and operational readiness.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of supplies.
• Prepare reports, logs, and service documentation.
• Assist with renovation and construction projects as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
