Job summary

Merete Hotel Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the hotel’s physical plant and guest areas. The role covers routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include cosmetic repairs, equipment maintenance in guest rooms and public spaces, and safe operation of tools. A background check and valid license may be required for employment considerations.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ maintenance experience in a commercial or residential environment preferred.
• Light carpentry and knowledge of paint and wallpaper.
• HVAC or plumbing or electrical skills.
• Certification in pool operation preferred.
• Meet minimum age requirements.
• May need a valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair carpet, wall coverings, furniture, painted surfaces and light bulbs in guest rooms and public areas.
• Maintain and repair equipment in laundry, guest rooms and public areas.
• Repair irrigation and sprinkler systems.
• Maintain pool and pool area, including possible hot tub.
• Keep parts, materials and supplies stocked; inform manager of status.
• Report unsafe conditions and coordinate with management as needed.
