Job summary

Smart Sand, Inc. in Oakdale, Tomah, WI, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, service, repair and maintain stationary, plant, and mobile equipment.

The role requires 3+ years of maintenance experience preferred, with electrical, welding, diesel, or heavy equipment repair experience strongly desired. A $1 shift differential applies for night shifts; on-site with overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in electrical, welding, diesel, or heavy equipment repair is strongly desired.
• Knowledge of repair methods for stationary and mobile equipment.
• Safety awareness for tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Ability to read simple math and use basic measuring tools.
• Self-motivated, able to work with supervision and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities using mechanical, electrical, welding, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills.
• Maintain equipment such as conveyors, compressors, and pumps; service heavy equipment like excavators and bulldozers.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, test and adjust production equipment and controls.
• Repair or replace control devices like switches and sensors; perform routine adjustments.
• Fabricate, modify, and install special equipment or parts using welders and torch sets.
• Document repair work, complete work orders, and maintain maintenance logs.
• Adhere to safety regulations and participate in facility environmental and quality systems.
• Work collaboratively in a team, and be available for shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
