Job summary

Smart Sand is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians for the Night Shift at the Blair facility. The role involves performing preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, conveyors, pumps, and electrical systems to keep operations running smoothly.

Candidates should have at least 3 years in maintenance, with experience in electrical, welding, diesel, or heavy equipment repair. The job offers a pay range of $26–$30 per hour plus a $1 night-shift differential and requires flexibility

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Prior experience in electrical, welding, diesel, or heavy equipment repair, hydraulic service, or fabrication work, strongly desired.
• Knowledge of the standard practices, materials, tools, and equipment used in the repair and maintenance of stationary and mobile equipment.
• Must be able to read, use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work with some supervision.
• Good judgment is required.
• Must be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities using mechanical, electrical, welding, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills.
• Repair or replace control devices and perform routine maintenance checks and adjustments.
• Disassemble units and install replacement parts; fabricate and install special equipment.
• Maintain updated maintenance logs and complete pre/post inspections on equipment.
