Job summary

Alpine Silica in Monahans, TX seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment in a heavy industrial setting.

You will perform planned and emergency repairs, read manuals, diagnose issues, and perform preventive maintenance while complying with MSHA safety rules. Must be able to work 8-16 hour shifts, weekends, overtime and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of heavy equipment maintenance experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate degree or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant equipment and perform regular preventative maintenance.
• Provide emergency/scheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and test adjustments to ensure proper operation.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools and measuring instruments in maintenance work.
• Participate in On-Call maintenance rotations and report any unsafe conditions.
