Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center seeks a hands-on Facilities Technician to maintain and improve our rehab centers. You will inspect facilities, assist with renovations, handle tech issues, and perform outdoor upkeep to ensure safety and a welcoming environment for clients and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma, practical carpentry knowledge, and the ability to multitask and solve problems in a fast-paced, recovery-focused setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Innovative, strong worker with ability to problem solve and multitask.
• General knowledge of carpentry and repair.

Responsibilities

• Regularly inspect facility, equipment and property for defects.
• Assist with any building renovations/ repairs, both interior and exterior.
• Assist with any technical difficulties (video calls, internet service, equipment maintenance etc.).
• Perform outside custodial duties (gardening, snow removal etc.).
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists to ensure proper building and equipment maintenance.
