Job summary

Toray Composite Materials America in Tacoma, WA seeks an intermediate-level Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain plant equipment, machinery, and facilities. You will follow manuals, schematics, and safety codes while using a variety of hand and power tools.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, parts installation, and collaboration with contractors. You will document activities, support training, and ensure reliable operations, including plant utilities and emergency tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with a 2-year technical/trade certificate and 1+ years of maintenance experience.
• Technician levels follow progressive competency after hire.
• Must be able to comply with ITAR/EAR export controls and US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, machines, plant and facilities.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment, electrical circuits, mechanical systems.
• Repair machinery and equipment per manuals and schematics.
• Install replacement parts and maintain records of parts used.
• Develop preventative maintenance procedures for production equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance projects with contractors and vendors.
• Operate plant utilities and provide general facility repairs and upkeep.
• Complete emergency work orders and maintain safety compliance.
