Job summary

IDEX is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Vermont to support reliable facility and equipment operations across electrical, plumbing, welding, fabrication, and carpentry. The role includes performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting machinery, assisting with moves and installations, and completing safety inspections.

Level 1–3 responsibilities cover diagnostics, repairs, equipment relocation, and ensuring safe operations.

Qualifications

• Level 1 requires basic knowledge in electrical, plumbing, welding, fabrication or carpentry.
• Level 2 adds PLCs and CNCs understanding and ability to read engineering drawings.
• Level 3 requires advanced skills, PLC/ CNC expertise, and ability to lead maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, plumbing, welding, fabrication, and carpentry maintenance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure production machines run smoothly and buildings operate efficiently.
• Repair or replace defective parts and reassemble equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and repair as appropriate.
• Move and relocate machinery and install new equipment.
• Operate cutting torches or welding equipment.
• Paint and repair building components and perform safety inspections.
• Operate a forklift and scissor lift; maintain a valid driver’s license.
