Job summary

Ever Fresh Fruit Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to monitor, repair and maintain plant production equipment and facilities. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and support startup and test of equipment.

The role requires strong problem-solving, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with a team. Regular full-time position with growth opportunities and a supportive, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
• 2+ years maintenance mechanic experience.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred.
• MIG/TIG welding and fabrication of stainless preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and components including chains, sprockets, gears, bushings, bearings, gear boxes and other moving parts.
• Problem solving and diagnosis skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with coworkers, supervisors and department managers required.
• Basic math skills.
• Self-starter, ability to work alone.
• Good organizational skills and detail-oriented.
• Availability and willingness to work flexible job hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks in a safe manner per GMPs and SOPs.
• Troubleshoot and maintain processing equipment both mechanical and electrical.
• Inspect, recognize potential problems and take action to prevent component failure.
• Monitor machinery to minimize unplanned downtime and identify improvements.
• Assist team leaders and machine operators in line start up and equipment adjustments.
• Perform building maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Maintain documentation related to maintenance tasks.
• Weld and fabricate machinery when necessary.
