Job summary

Ever Fresh Fruit Company in Kentucky is seeking a Maintenance Technician to monitor, repair and maintain the plant's production equipment and utilities. You will perform preventative, corrective, and diagnostic maintenance on electrical, mechanical and control systems, with a focus on reliability and safety.

The role requires 2+ years in maintenance within a manufacturing setting, proficiency in mechanical systems, and preferred MIG/TIG welding and forklift experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
• 2+ years maintenance mechanic experience.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred.
• MIG/TIG welding and fabrication of stainless preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems including chains, gears, bearings, bushings and gear boxes.
• Problem solving and diagnosis skills.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Basic math skills.
• Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks safely and in accordance with policies.
• Adhere to GMPs and SOPs.
• Collaborate with team and apply basic mechanical concepts.
• Troubleshoot and maintain processing equipment (mechanical/electrical).
• Inspect and preemptively address potential problems to prevent failures.
• Monitor machinery to minimize downtime and identify improvements.
• Assist with line start-up and equipment adjustments.
• Perform building maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance tasks.
• Weld and fabricate machinery when necessary.
• Collaborate with supervisors to schedule maintenance.
