Job summary

Highland Management Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for Minnetonka Edgewater in Spring Park. The role covers preventative maintenance, repairs, and resident service at an 82-unit property. On-site living is optional with higher rent discounts.

Starting hourly rate is $25 with opportunities for on-call and licensed advancement; the company covers licensing costs and exam fees. Responsibilities include safety checks and routine inspections.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain boiler/CPO license; Highland pays for education, training and licensing.
• Experience in property maintenance or hands-on repairs preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks.
• Reliable, punctual and detail-oriented with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property upkeep, perform preventative maintenance, repairs and replacements.
• Respond to maintenance requests from residents via work orders.
• Inspect and monitor fire extinguishers and smoke detectors monthly; boilers daily.
• Know shut-off locations for water, gas and fixtures; address sewer clean-outs as needed.
• Ensure vacant units are clean and in good repair.
• Inspect pools (where applicable) and complete reports and inspections.
• Report projected expenses to the Property Manager for authorized maintenance.
• Assist managers with miscellaneous tasks as requested.
