Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our residential properties in Minneapolis, MN. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, at 1015 Essex St SE, Minneapolis, MN.

You will maintain equipment, systems and fixtures, respond to work orders, and help keep grounds clean and safe. The position requires at least two years in maintenance, with skills across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, appliances, doors and windows.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' experience in maintenance, preferably residential property management.
• Skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, appliances, doors & windows.
• Experience with building codes and regulatory compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining all mechanical equipment, emergency systems, building fixtures and groundwork as needed.
• Complete all work orders quickly and efficiently.
• Report any problems/deficiencies.
• Knowledgeable of building codes and regulatory compliance issues.
• Interacts positively with all team members in maintaining census by immediately completing apartment turns.
• Maintain the grounds; trash, sweep, dumpster areas, snowplow, etc.
• Test the resident security systems as required.
• Assist with custodial duties which include but not limited to, trash removal, carpet cleaning, etc.
• Perform any maintenance task necessary as directed.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
