Job summary

Highland Management Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at Southwood Apartments, Lynn Court Apartments and Oakleaf townhomes. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with an starting hourly rate of $28.

Living on-site is optional and may unlock a rent discount. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to work orders, and help maintain safe, well‑running properties across multiple communities.

Qualifications

• Electrical knowledge, plumbing, and carpentry experience.
• Boilers license or willingness to obtain one.
• CPO license or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Ensure resident satisfaction through regular upkeep and preventive maintenance.
• Complete maintenance requests from residents as received on work orders.
• Be on-call member for Highland Management Group.
• Check fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and boilers daily.
• Know water and gas shut-offs, fixtures shut-off locations, and sewer clean-outs.

Maintenance Engineer NO ON CALL: Multi-Site Southwood Apartments, Lynn Court Apartments and Oakleaf townhomes

Position: Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Hourly Rate: Starting at $ 28.00per hour

Boiler/CPO Licenses:

These licenses are not a requirement for this position - Willingness to obtain one is. Highland Management Group pays for educational costs, training, and licensing. This includes exam fees!

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure resident satisfaction through the regular upkeep of the property, including preventative maintenance, repair, and replacement.
• Complete Maintenance Requests from residents as received on work orders.
• Be a part of the on-call team for Highland Management Group Inc.
• Check fire extinguishers and smoke detectors monthly and check boilers daily.
• Have a working knowledge of water and gas meter shut offs, all apartment fixtures shut-off locations and sewer clean-outs.
• Assure the cleanliness and good repair of vacant units.
• Check pools (if applicable) and complete miscellaneous inspections & reports.
• Report regularly to Property Manager on projected expenses as authorized by manager for maintenance and service.
• Other miscellaneous tasks as requested by the managers.
