Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at University Village Apartments in Minneapolis. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with an on-call rotation: 3–4 weeks off-call and 1 week on-call.

You will perform routine mechanical maintenance, respond to work orders, and help with custodial tasks to keep the property well-maintained. Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, maintaining grounds,

Qualifications

• At least two years of maintenance experience, preferably in residential property management.
• Skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and doors & windows.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulatory compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining all mechanical equipment, emergency systems, building fixtures and groundwork as needed.
• Complete all work orders quickly and efficiently.
• Report any problems/deficiencies.
• Interacts positively with all team members in maintaining census by immediately completing apartment turns.
• Maintain the grounds; trash, sweep, dumpster areas, snowplow, etc.
• Test the resident security systems as required.
• Assist with custodial duties which include but not limited to, trash removal, carpet cleaning, etc.
• Perform any maintenance task necessary as directed.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
