Job summary

Digital Room in Solon, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and restore equipment efficiently and safely. You will collaborate with production and engineering teams, document work orders, and support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field is a plus.
• Proven experience as a machine maintenance technician or similar.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with good understanding of machine operation and control systems.
• Proficient using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing instruments.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and techniques.
• Familiarity with safety regulations related to machine maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions.
• Flexibility to work on rotating shifts and respond to emergency maintenance requests.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment according to schedules.
• Identify and diagnose equipment malfunctions, mechanical failures, and electrical issues.
• Perform repairs, adjustments, or component replacements to restore equipment functionality.
• Keep accurate maintenance records, including work performed and parts used.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and determine root cause.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve complex problems and improve performance.
• Calibrate machinery to ensure accurate operation and quality standards.
• Perform regular testing and inspections to verify safety and quality compliance.
• Develop and update maintenance procedures and manuals.
• Maintain organized inventory of spare parts and assist purchasing as needed.
• Provide training and guidance to machine operators on proper operation and basic maintenance tasks.
