Job summary

Brophy College Preparatory is seeking a Grounds Landscaping Maintenance Technician to maintain the appearance, safety, and functionality of all Brophy-owned grounds. The role includes mowing, pruning, irrigation upkeep, waste disposal, and assisting with campus events to create a welcoming environment for students, faculty, and visitors.

• Experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to operate landscaping machinery and hand tools safely.
• Ability to maintain and drive landscaping machinery and equipment.
• Ability to walk, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and work on varied terrain.
• Punctuality, self-motivation, and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Ability to read safety labels and instructions in English.
• Must pass E-Verify and a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding turf and landscape areas.
• Perform pruning and planting of trees and shrubs.
• Maintain irrigation systems, including sprinkler repair and replacement.
• Regular collection and disposal of campus waste and recyclables.
• Assist with setup and tear-down of equipment for campus events.
• Clean and maintain outdoor hardscapes, including sidewalks and parking areas.
• Monitor inventory of groundskeeping tools and supplies.
• Coordinate with facilities team on campus projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations.

**Job Title:** Grounds Landscaping Maintenance Technician**Department Name:** Facilities Department**Position Reports To:** Director of Facilities and Food Services**Classification:** Full-Time, Non-Exempt**Pay Range:** $19-$22/hour, based on experience**Job Status:** 12 Month Year, benefits eligible**Hours:** 40 hours/week, with potential for weekend/evening shifts as needed, overtime paid at 1.5x**Primary Purpose/Job Summary:**The Grounds Landscaping Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of all Brophy owned grounds.
