Job summary

SBM is seeking a Lead Groundskeeper to manage grounds maintenance across multiple sites. A valid driver’s license may be required and safety training is expected. The position runs Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm with hourly pay in the $17.50–$18.50 range, reflecting

• Completed all safety and task training certifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, or other grounds features.
• Gather, remove, and dispose of trash or waste materials.
• Water and irrigate lawns, trees, or plants using portable sprinkler systems.
• Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using grounds maintenance equipment.
• Rake, mulch, and compost leaves.
• Operate and perform minor repairs on grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, tractors, snow blowers, chainsaws, and other tools.
• Provide work direction and assistance to grounds team as directed by Supervisor.
• Assist in training and scheduling staff as needed.
• Maintain equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas and report hazards to supervisor.
• Drive to various work locations as needed.

# **Title:**Lead Groundskeeper# **Job Description:****Job Overview**The Groundskeeper Lead will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment, and will provide some work direction to groundskeeping staff. **Roles & Responsibilities**To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.* Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas such as sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, or other grounds features* Gather, remove, and dispose of trash or waste materials* Water and irrigate lawns, trees, or plants using portable sprinkler systems* Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using grounds maintenance equipment* Rake, mulch, and compost leaves* Operate and perform minor repairs on grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws* Comply with safety rules, policies and procedures including use of personal protective equipment.Stops at risk behaviors of others and self* Respond to trouble calls and cleans up spills* Provide work direction and assistance to grounds team as directed by Supervisor* Assist in training and scheduling staff as needed* Trach equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair* Maintain daily upkeep of assigned areas* Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor* Monitor employees proper use pf personal protective equipment and supplies* Perform quality, service, and safety inspections* Operate motorized cleaning equipment* The ability to drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities may be necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.* Other duties as assigned **Qualification**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
