Job summary

RHP Properties, Inc. in Farmington Hills, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Northern Hills Community in Springdale, AR to perform general grounds and lawn maintenance, as well as basic repairs to homes owned by the community, for 40 hours per week.

You will handle work orders, interact with residents and staff, and perform routine upkeep on homes and common areas, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks, with on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid operator's license and a good driving record.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, HVAC, and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance to keep homes and community areas in good condition.
• Complete assigned work orders and report status to the Community Manager.
• Interact with residents, prospective residents, visitors and staff in a courteous, cooperative manner.
• Identify deficiencies and act with Community Manager approval.
• Maintain manicured grounds: weeds, planting, mulching, trimming shrubs and hedges.
• Remove garbage from grounds and resident sites to maintain community appearance.
• Perform snow removal as needed.
• Inventory maintenance equipment and supplies and report needs.
• Maintain garage/storage areas and keep equipment clean.
• Comply with health and safety laws.
• Perform seasonal pre-maintenance service.
• Remain on-call as needed.
• Assist refurbishing Community Owned homes.
• Repair and maintain water and sewer lines.
• May need to provide own tools.
