Job summary

Brookfield Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an apartment community. You will perform HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and machinery maintenance, while delivering exceptional customer service as part of a collaborative team.

The position requires 1–2 years in commercial or multi-unit residential properties, a HS diploma or GED, and some certifications. Weekend work may be required; English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of required experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property.
• High School Diploma/GED required; 3-4 years can offset minimum education.
• HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on property.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• May work weekends (Sat/Sun).
• English proficiency, written and spoken; multilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC repairs, cleaning, replacements and maintenance.
• Repair and replace plumbing components; install sinks, toilets, faucets, etc.
• Repair and install doors, shelves, countertops, locks, and related carpentry tasks.
• Paint drywall/plaster repairs and general painting.
• Electrical work: lighting, wiring, power circuits, switches, lamps.
