Job summary

Sevita, Mentor Community Services in Pensacola, FL, seeks a Maintenance Worker to ensure grounds and equipment are safe and well-maintained. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday dayshift, at Pensacola, FL 32506 with a pay rate of $17 per hour.

You will oversee preventative maintenance across programs, coordinate with contractors, and repair mechanical systems while ensuring compliance with safety and building regulations. Benefit-packed, mission-driven workplace within Sevita family.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year related maintenance experience preferred.
• Driver's License in good standing/Valid.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ongoing preventative maintenance of multiple programs/offices across an assigned region.
• Plan and schedule work assignments to accomplish workload with available resources and equipment; coordinate with outside contractors to ensure quality of work.
• Analyze and resolve complaints pertaining to services and equipment in area of responsibility.
• Communicate departmental procedures for maintenance and operation of buildings; maintain building and grounds in compliance with laws.
• Repair and maintain kitchen, housekeeping, and other mechanical equipment, including HVAC, electrical/plumbing fixtures, painting, and laundry equipment.
• Plan and direct inventory control for equipment, parts, and supplies; oversee vendor accounts and ordering of supplies.
• Maintain appliance motors, room exhaust fans, pumps and related equipment as per manufacturer guidance.
• Collaborate with building inspectors, fire marshals, and vendors; maintain fire alarm systems and safety plans as appropriate.
• Maintain operational records, data, and monitor safety regulations; perform other related duties as required.
