Job summary

Sevita is seeking a Maintenance Worker for fulltime days in Florida. You will oversee grounds and equipment to maintain a safe, attractive living and working environment for individuals we serve.

Starting pay is $17 per hour with opportunities for experience-based increases. Responsibilities include planning maintenance, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and building codes; join a nationwide team making a difference.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year related experience.
• Working knowledge and ability to handle all maintenance and electrical equipment.
• Current contractor license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ongoing preventative maintenance of multiple programs/offices across an assigned region.
• Plan and schedule work assignments and coordinate with outside contractors to ensure quality of work.
• Communicate procedures for maintenance and operation of buildings and maintain compliance with laws.
• Repair and maintain kitchen, housekeeping, and other mechanical equipment.
• Draft plans for building needs and read blueprints; wire buildings for networking.
• Direct inventory control for equipment, parts, and supplies and manage vendor accounts.
• Maintain appliance motors, pumps and other equipment monthly or as recommended by manufacturers.
• Coordinate with building inspectors and safety personnel; maintain fire alarm systems.
• Maintain operational records and safety observance; perform related duties.
