• We have an opening for a full-time Maintenance Technician position.
• Location: Shell - 200 North Dairy Ashford Road, Houston, TX 77079. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm. On-call as needed. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: No experience required.
• Pay Rate: $26.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Performs a variety of maintenance duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains, repairs, cleans, and operates the plant, shops, mechanical areas, exterior grounds, and campus facilities.
• Performs basic maintenance and repairs; contacts supervisors, skilled trade vendors, or on-call personnel as instructed.
• Updates work statuses, timing, and costs of repairs using company tech systems.
• Provides fleet maintenance support including welding, plumbing, electrical work, kitchen maintenance, vehicle driving, troubleshooting, generator repairs, and general maintenance.
• Assists in minor decision-making on repairs; reports major issues to supervisors.
• Cleans sidewalks and parking areas; disposes of trash and debris.
• Operates electrical and gasoline-powered equipment.
• Maintains and repairs equipment using tools.
• Performs minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work, lamp changing, and drywall maintenance.
• Responds to emergency problems and performs emergency repairs.
• Maintains logs, performs rounds, and completes work orders, tests, and inspections.
• Reads and transmits detailed instructions verbally and in writing.
• Serves as a member of the emergency response team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• One year of related experience as a maintenance worker/technician or in grounds maintenance.
• Valid driver's license.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to high heat, noise, dust, dirt, infection control areas. Ability to meet deadlines, work all hours including weekends and nights to maintain facility safety and standards.
