Job summary

Exeter Hospital is seeking a skilled technician for night shift to operate, test, and inspect emergency generators, fire pumps, and related systems. Join a Magnet-recognized hospital with a patient-centered care focus in Exeter, NH.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory of supplies such as belts, chains, lubricants, filters and lighting needs.
  • Provide general assistance to skilled trades such as electrician, HVAC, plumber, etc.
  • Inspect equipment to detect excessive noise and heat.
  • Read thermometers and gauges, record readings, and maintain records and logs such as boiler and building logs.
  • Lubricate fans, motors, and other mechanical parts.
  • Inspect and replace worn and frayed belts.
  • Inspect and replace filters, air, water and oil.
  • Disassemble and assemble sheet metal components, fans, motors and control units.
  • Work off‑site and/or individually.

Position Overview

Performs a variety of routine servicing of equipment and machinery. Operate, test and inspect emergency generators, fire pump, fire doors and emergency lighting, etc.

Schedule

Monday through Friday 11:00pm–7:30am. Generous pay shift differentials.
