Job summary

Covington County Hospital in Collins, Mississippi is seeking a maintenance technician with knowledge of building maintenance techniques and operation of plumbing and heating systems, sanitation, electrical systems, carpentry, and fire and safety regulations. The role requires the ability to detect malfunctioning equipment and excellent communication skills.

A Mississippi Driver License is required; one year of experience with an emphasis on electrical work and HVAC is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be familiar with building maintenance techniques and operation of plumbing and heating systems, sanitation, electrical systems, carpentry, and fire and safety regulations and procedures.
• Maintenance technician must have a general knowledge and ability to detect malfunctioning equipment.
• Current Mississippi Driver License required. One year experience with an emphasis in electrical work and HVAC strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on buildings, equipment, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and safety systems.
• Detect malfunctioning equipment and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
• Communicate effectively with team and supervisors to report status and safety concerns.
