Job summary

Ecco Living is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to keep our Los Angeles properties safe, functional, and move-in ready. You will handle work orders across multiple buildings, turn units between residents, and be the friendly, reliable face residents see when something needs fixing.

You will work alongside our in-house maintenance crew, report to our operations manager, and participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies while maintaining inventory of tools and supplies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in multifamily, apartments, or property management.
• Solid hands-on skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
• Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation; own basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete resident work orders promptly.
• Perform general repairs: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and hardware.
• Diagnose and repair appliances (refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, washers, dryers).
• Handle drywall patching, painting, caulking, flooring touch-ups, and door/lock repairs.
• Turn over vacant units quickly so they are clean, safe, and ready for new residents.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections of units and building systems.
• Troubleshoot basic HVAC issues and coordinate with outside vendors.
• Keep work orders updated with notes and photos in our property management software.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
• Help maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.

We're hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician to keep our properties safe, functional, and move-in ready. You'll handle work orders across multiple buildings, turn units between residents, and be the friendly, reliable face residents see when something needs fixing. What You'll Do

• Respond to and complete resident work orders promptly and professionally
• Perform general repairs: plumbing (clogs, leaks, fixtures, toilets, water heaters), electrical (outlets, switches, light fixtures, breakers), carpentry, and hardware
• Diagnose and repair appliances, including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, washers, and dryers
• Handle drywall patching, painting, caulking, flooring touch-ups, and door/lock repairs
• Turn over vacant units quickly so they are clean, safe, and ready for new residents
• Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections of units, common areas, and building systems
• Troubleshoot basic HVAC issues and coordinate with outside vendors for specialized work
• Keep work orders updated with notes and photos in our property management software
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
• Help maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in multifamily, apartments, or property management
• Solid hands-on skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently
• Friendly, professional communication with residents and teammates
• Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation (we work across multiple LA neighborhoods)
• Your own basic hand tools
• Comfortable using a smartphone app to receive and close out work orders
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions

Nice to Have

• HVAC or EPA certification
• Experience with apartment turnovers at volume
