Compass Group USA is hiring Maintenance Technicians (full-time and part-time) for TAMU - Prairie View, TX. The role oversees skilled maintenance duties across electrical and mechanical systems, with responsibilities for training, escalation management, and quality assurance.

The team focuses on handling repairs, supervising workers, and ensuring safe, efficient facility operation. A valid driver's license and journeyman-level credentials are required, with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.
• Must have one of the following: Master license in one trade or Journeyman Electrical License or EPA certification in Refrigerant, or Journeyman Plumber License, etc.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assists in making decisions on normal and complex repairs; reports major problems to the maintenance supervisor and foreman.
• Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems and related facilities.
• Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs or diagnoses malfunction of HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
• Supervises and leads a group of workers on a project.
• Reads, comprehends and transmits complex instructions verbally and in writing.
• Teaches advanced maintenance skills to department members.
• Reviews work of outside vendors and licensed maintenance workers; creates punch lists.
