Job summary

The Hughston Clinic is seeking a maintenance technician to manage daily operations, upkeep of buildings and equipment, and to support healthcare facilities. You will perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and space reconfiguration tasks as needed within the clinic complex.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in maintenance or related fields, with preference for healthcare maintenance experience. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational training is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in maintenance or similar field.
• Experience in healthcare maintenance field preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Trade or vocational diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets with supervisor each day to discuss needs, problems and assignments.
• Completes all demand work requests and preventive maintenance work orders promptly.
• Inspects building systems to detect malfunctions or needed repairs and notes recommendations.
• Performs minor electrical maintenance: fixtures, switches, outlets, bulbs, tubes, ballast, fuses.
• Performs minor plumbing maintenance: repairing or replacing leaks, unclogging drains and toilets, laying lines.
• Reconfigures, installs, positions and remounts modular offices to suit user needs.
