Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Technician I to maintain and repair Mobile Storage fleet equipment, including containers, ground level offices, office trailers, and modular buildings.

Under supervision, you will perform cleaning and maintenance per company standards while also fulfilling duties of an Equipment Associate. You will travel to customer sites, perform basic repairs, document work orders, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active state driver's license required.
• Related maintenance experience is a plus.
• Basic verbal and written skills required.
• Construction knowledge and background preferred.
• Teamwork and customer service skills essential.
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Ability to utilize required information technology.
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment and warranty processes.
• Accurately record time and material used for work orders.
• Lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of Mobile Storage quality standards.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on mobile storage fleet equipment.
• Hook mobile office to power source and inspect tires and lugs.
• Complete work orders on time and within budget; document work.
• Travel to customer sites to set up office trailers and assist CDL A drivers.
• Perform equipment modifications per specifications and codes.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of shop, yard, tools, and supplies.
• Inspect inbound/outbound equipment per Rental Flow procedures.
• Operate forklifts and demonstrate fleet to customers when needed.
• Safely install/uninstall VAPs per reservation requirements.
