Job summary

Tampa Bay Girls Academy is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform general building maintenance, light electrical/plumbing repairs, drywall, painting, and related tasks at our Tampa, Florida site. You will maintain the vehicle fleet, complete reports, and support grounds upkeep in a secure residential program for youth.

Requirements include a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and the ability to pass background checks, drug screen, and TB test.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Prior building maintenance experience preferred.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen and TB test.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week with possible overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance tasks (lighting, drywall, painting, plumbing).
• Repair minor electrical and plumbing issues; service vehicle fleet.
• Complete reports and maintain documentation in a timely manner.
• Maintain safety measures, smoke detectors, and emergency lighting.
• Assist with grounds maintenance and other duties as needed.
