Job summary

The Neighborhood at Vestavia Hills, part of Phoenix Senior Living, is seeking a Maintenance Tech / Facilities Assistant to support the Facilities Director in daily upkeep and minor repairs across the community. Shift details are 8:30am to 4:30pm, Mon-Fri with every other weekend required.

Candidates should perform routine maintenance, respond to residents' needs, and coordinate with external vendors as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facilities Director with maintenance and upkeep of the community.
• Support minor repairs and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Inspect furniture, schedule cleanings, and perform basic repairs (plumbing, fixtures, lighting).
• Hang bulletin boards, pictures and hooks; move furniture as required.
• Log maintenance tasks, report major repairs to supervisor.
• Assist with painting, refinishing and general decor touch-ups.
• Maintain safe handling of chemicals and equipment; follow safety protocols.
