Duties and Responsibilities:Safety oriented for self and all team members safetyCommunicates with production supervisors and other team members frequently for needs of machine repairTroubleshooting and repair of all manufacturing, support equipment, and automation systemsOperation, monitoring, and troubleshooting/repair of all auxiliary infrastructure systems such as compressed air, cooling water, vacuum, and carton systemsIdentifies, determines, and rebuilds components such as pumps, valves, solenoids, vacuum systems for reuseFabrication of machine parts through use of maintenance shop toolsProject work for installation of equipment, repairs/improvements to building infrastructure, and other facility areasSupports and works with electricians to perform electrical and/or electronic controls repairs as necessarySet up inspection camera’s using quality control guidelinesMake suggestions/improvements to increase effectiveness of operations in the plantPerform preventive and corrective work as directed, notably on support equipmentResponsible for proper documentation of all/any changes made to equipmentContinuously trains and learns new subject areas to improve own skillsetTraining of team members on equipment maintenance practices, operation, and safe work practicesOther duties as assignedShift: D Crew (nights) 12 hour shiftsSupervisory Responsibilities: NoEducational and Other Skills Requirements:High school diploma or GED equivalencyRead, write and speak EnglishComplete pre-employment mechanical aptitude testComplete in house CEW (certified electrical worker) training within 1 year of hire dateDemonstrated safety-first focus2+ years of industrial maintenance or similar experience requiredPrior plastics experience desirable, specifically with experience in operation and maintenance of compression molding equipmentMust have tools required for industrial maintenance, with exception of specialty, power tools, and machine shop toolsSelf-motivated, accountable, and able to communicate with team membersMust be able to work at heights (Passing fall protection and mobile elevated work platform training required)Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in different positions throughout shiftCross functionally trained in mechanical and electrical areas with 5+ years of industrial maintenanceKnowledge of manufacturing equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, and plastic processing equipmentKnowledge of utility system components including compressed air systems, cooling water systems, vacuum systems, etc.Knowledge of plant electrical systems, including NFPA 70e qualificationsKnowledge of PLC controls/electronics for automation equipmentQualification to use maintenance shop tools to fabricate parts including the use of vertical mill/drill presses, brake/shear, and MIG/TIG weldersVocational education and/or training in machine repair, industrial electricity, or equivalent programs from an accredited schoolAdditional information:The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
