Job summary

Desert Parkway Behavioral Healthcare Hospital in Las Vegas is seeking an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to keep our buildings, equipment, and systems in top shape. You'll perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance on HVAC, lighting, and plumbing, and respond to basic repair requests.

You will support senior technicians, maintain logs, follow safety protocols, and help with daily checklists. A strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential; no prior maintenance experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn; no prior experience required.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently when needed, and collaborate with a team.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems, including lighting, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Respond to basic repair requests such as changing filters and replacing light bulbs.
• Support senior technicians on larger projects, such as equipment installations or system upgrades.
• Keep maintenance logs and update work orders in the digital tracking system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following safety protocols.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on equipment maintenance procedures and records.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
• Perform outside custodial duties as needed.
• Work effectively with all departments.

As an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician, you'll be the hands-on hero who ensures our buildings, equipment, and systems are in top shape. From fixing a flickering light to assisting with preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, your work will directly impact the comfort, safety, and efficiency of our operations. You'll learn from experienced technicians, gain valuable skills, and see the results of your work every single day.

• Respond to basic repair requests-changing filters, replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, and more.
• Support senior technicians on larger projects, such as equipment installations or system upgrades.
• Keep maintenance logs and update work orders in our digital tracking system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all safety protocols.
• Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
• Performs outside custodial duties as needed.
• Works effectively with all departments.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) year experience as a maintenance technician preferred.
• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn-no prior maintenance experience required.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently when needed, and collaborate with a team.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in various indoor/outdoor conditions.
