Job summary

GORDON is seeking an entry level Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs for equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.

You will inspect and troubleshoot, plan repairs using blueprints or manuals, perform routine maintenance, and maintain a clean, safe work environment following company standards.

Qualifications

• General maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to read and follow instructions and manuals.

ENTRY LEVEL POSITION

Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.

Responsibilities

1. Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
2. Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
3. Plans repair work using building’s blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
4. Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
5. Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
6. Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
7. Operates all necessary tools to complete a job.
8. Ensures tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety.
9. Commitment to Safety and Maintaining a Safe Work Environment
10. Maintain a clean work environment in compliance with Company standards
11. Understands and follows Job Safety Analysis for this position.
12. Wears eye protection and any other designated PPE.
13. Performs other related duties as assigned.
