Job summary

Blick Art Materials, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our Illinois facilities and production lines running smoothly. You will troubleshoot electrical and conveyor systems, perform preventive maintenance, and support production with timely repairs.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, experience with conveyors, ability to read schematics, and the use of hand and power tools. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency required.
Valid driver’s license required.
Ability to perform electrical installations and read schematics.
Mechanical aptitude with experience around conveyor systems and reading blueprints.
Basic construction knowledge; ability to use hand and power tools.
Basic computer skills; ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on the conveyor system and other machinery; perform preventative maintenance.
Install upgrades and perform PM on lighting, HVAC components, plumbing; assemble and repair carts, shelving, tables.
Demonstrate safe work habits; use PPE; lockout/tagout; proper waste disposal.
Fully and accurately complete all required departmental documentation.
Support maintenance and production; upkeep of storage areas and racks.
Keep maintenance area clean and organized; return tools and materials to proper places.
