Job summary

Little Leaf Farms LLC seeks a proactive maintenance technician to install, maintain, and repair machinery, electrical systems, and HVAC across the facility. You will fabricate replacement parts, lubricate equipment, and perform routine PMs to ensure continuous operations.

Responsibilities include setting up production equipment per demand, replacing belts and rollers, and following LOTO procedures. Experience with automation, robotics, and Green Automation is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Electrical or Mechanical field.
  • Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic Input/Output functions.
  • Experience with robotic operation/maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical and general construction/carpentry.
  • Basic understanding of 3-phase electricity.
  • Ability to maintain various pumps (positive pressure, centrifugal, etc.).
  • Ability to structurally weld varying common metals.
  • Working knowledge of motor controllers, low voltage electrical systems, proximity switches, photo-eyes, and variable frequency drives.
  • Basic understanding of schematics and blueprints.
  • Basic understanding of diagnostic equipment including, but not limited to, ohms meters, voltage meters.
  • Follow OSHA and Company regulations (LOTO, CSE, PPE).
  • Highly knowledgeable with hand and power tools.
  • Self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or in teams.

Responsibilities

  • Set up production equipment at the start of the shift and adapt equipment per inventory demand.
  • Replace worn conveyor belts, cables, and rollers.
  • Conduct daily preventive maintenance per schedule (belt alignments, condenser cleanings, etc.).
  • Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
  • Diagnose and repair pneumatic systems and related components.
  • Operate Green Automation system and read schematics/blueprints.
  • Reset electrical breakers, check overloads, and diagnose blown fuses with a multimeter.
  • Adhere to GMP and HACCP, maintain sanitary conditions, report safety or quality concerns.
  • Maintain positive work atmosphere with customers, co-workers, and management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

The purpose of this position is to install, maintain, and repair all machinery, electrical systems, and HVAC within the facility. Fabricates replacement parts for machinery when needed and lubricates machinery, changes parts, and performs other routine machinery maintenance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works from written SOPs with little or no help. (screw bearing replacement)
  • Sets up production equipment at the start of the shift and changes equipment depending on inventory demand.
  • Replaces worn conveyor belts, cables, and rollers.
  • Does daily preventive maintenance tasks and follows the preventive maintenance schedule (belt alignments, condenser cleanings, and Agrinomix PM’s).
  • Works using Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
  • Replaces pistons, air lines, and air fittings in pneumatic systems.
  • Performs basic fabrication and metal working, such as cutting, grinding, and simple fabrication.
  • Operates Green Automation system.
  • Resets electrical breakers, overloads, and diagnoses blown fuses with Multimeter.
  • Expected to adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
  • Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Electrical or Mechanical field.
  • Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic Input/Output functions.
  • Experience with robotic operation/ maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical and general construction/carpentry.
  • Basic understanding of 3-phase electricity.
