Job summary

Bayou Processing & Storage is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for our east Houston facility. This role will handle maintenance and repair of electrical power sources for equipment and facilities, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, tool and parts inventory, safety training, and timely reporting of deficiencies. Join a team committed to safe operating practices and quality service.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems on industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and follow service repair manuals.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs for equipment and facilities.
• Completes preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Maintains tool inventory and proper storage.
• Maintains inventory of replacement parts and equipment.
• Inspects tools and equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Updates maintenance and repair logs and records.
• Maintains a safe, neat, and orderly facility at all times.
• Identifies process deficiencies and reports them to management.
• Attends and/or leads training and safety sessions.
• Immediately reports safety violations or unsafe conditions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for Bayou Processing & Storage, in east Houston. This position will handle the maintenance and repair of any electrical power source tasks related to equipment or facilities.

• Handles needed repairs for equipment and or facilities
• Completes Preventive Maintenance on all equipment
• Maintains tool inventory and in proper storage
• Maintains inventory of replacement parts and equipment
• Inspects tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order
• Updates maintenance and repair logs for equipment
• Maintains a safe, neat, and orderly facility always
• Identifies process deficiencies and reports them to management
• Attends and/or leads all required training and safety sessions
• Immediately reports all safety violations or unsafe work conditions
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience with maintenance/repair of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems on industrial equipment
• Strong mechanical skills and ability to use power and hand tools
• Strong math aptitude
• Ability to reach and follow service repair manuals
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently on a routine basis and handle materials safely as part of daily job duties.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain safe body positioning while performing tasks and moving through the work area, including walking on concrete floors and uneven surfaces.
• Frequent squatting, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting, requiring full-body mobility, balance, and upper- and lower-body strength to perform work safely.
• Manual agility to operate tools safely and effectively, with regular use of arms, shoulders, and back for lifting, reaching, and positioning tasks.
• Ability to work safely in a warehouse environment with exposure to noise, dust, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
• Maintain adequate visual and auditory acuity to safely perform assigned tasks, including but not limited to: identifying potential hazards, reading and/or recording measurements, inspecting materials, and responding promptly to verbal instructions, alarms or hand signals in the work environment
