Bayou Processing & Storage is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician in east Houston to maintain and repair electrical power sources and related equipment. You will support a 250,000-square-foot facility near the Port of Houston, with opportunities to contribute to safety and efficiency.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, experience with industrial maintenance, and the ability to read repair manuals.

We are seeking an experiencedIndustrial Maintenance Technician forBayou Processing & Storage, in east Houston. This position will handle the maintenance and repair of any electrical power source tasks related to equipment or facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Handles needed repairs for equipment and or facilities
• Completes Preventive Maintenance on all equipment
• Maintains tool inventory and in proper storage
• Maintains inventory of replacement parts and equipment
• Inspects tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order
• Updates maintenance and repair logs for equipment
• Maintains a safe, neat, and orderly facility always
• Identifies process deficiencies and reports them to management
• Attends and/or leads all required training and safety sessions
• Immediately reports all safety violations or unsafe work conditions
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with maintenance/repair of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems on industrial equipment
• Strong mechanical skills and ability to use power and hand tools
• Strong math aptitude
• Ability to reach and follow service repair manuals
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently on a routine basis and handle materials safely as part of daily job duties.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain safe body positioning while performing tasks and moving through the work area, including walking on concrete floors and uneven surfaces.
• Frequent squatting, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting, requiring full-body mobility, balance, and upper- and lower-body strength to perform work safely.
• Manual agility to operate tools safely and effectively, with regular use of arms, shoulders, and back for lifting, reaching, and positioning tasks.
• Ability to work safely in a warehouse environment with exposure to noise, dust, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
• Maintain adequate visual and auditory acuity to safely perform assigned tasks, including but not limited to: identifying potential hazards, reading and/or recording measurements, inspecting materials, and responding promptly to verbal instructions, alarms or hand signals in the work environment
