Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Mechanic

Hours: 1st Shift | 6:00am to 2:30pm Mon-Fri + OT
Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Mechanic to support facility and equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, troubleshooting issues, and supporting overall plant reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, alignment, repair, and maintenance of production machinery and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and manuals
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and power transmission systems
- Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance (TPM)
- Use machine tools (lathes, grinders, etc.) to fabricate or repair parts as needed
- Implement and maintain a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and spare parts inventory
- Respond quickly to production downtime and operator requests
- Identify and execute improvements to equipment performance and reliability
- Follow all safety protocols and ISO procedures
Must-Have Qualifications
- 2-year vocational/technical degree or equivalent training in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or related field
- 3-5 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and power tools
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments
- Experience with PLCs and automated systems
- Previous use of CMMS / preventive maintenance programs
- Welding and fabrication skills preferred
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a plant environment (noise, dust, varying temperatures)
- Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
