Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Terrell, TX is seeking a Dayshift Maintenance Technician to service production equipment, diagnose issues, and support the maintenance team. This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include PM completion, equipment troubleshooting, and assisting colleagues; the ideal candidate will have electrical wiring and plumbing skills, familiarity with motor starters and VFDs, and the

Qualifications

• Must be able to wire motors, motor starters, relays and other electrical equipment with minimal supervision.
• Able to perform plumbing including PVC, black iron and copper.
• Able to cut with oxy/fuel and plasma cutter.
• Able to troubleshoot using prints.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on assigned production machinery and diagnose issues.
• Submit PM-related problems for repair.
• Assist others with problems when needed.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Dayshift Maintenance Technician is focused on working as team as well as being able to work independently while willing to be trained to work in other areas as needed and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

This role is perfect for an individual who:

• Always work in a safe manner and identify safety hazards
• Conduct themselves in a professional manner during the course of the workday
• Should be able to take care of tasks and assigned work as needed with little or no supervision

Job responsibilities include:

• Perform maintenance on assigned production machinery, including analyzing & diagnosing
• Turn in problems with equipment that needs to be repaired on P.M.
• Help others with problems when needed

What We Are Looking For

• Should be able to wire in motors, motor starters, relays and other electrical equipment including Variable Frequency Drives with little or no assistance.
• Should be able to do all types of plumbing including PVC, black iron and copper pipe.
• Can cut with oxy/acetylene and plasma cutter.
• Should be able to troubleshoot most problems using prints.
