Job summary

OBE is seeking a Day shift Maintenance Technician to support production operations and ensure safe, reliable equipment performance. You will work with the maintenance team and, when needed, cross-train in other areas, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.

This role suits someone who maintains safety, acts professionally, and can handle tasks with little supervision while building a lasting career with an industry leader.

Qualifications

• Must wire motors, starters, relays and electrical equipment including VFDs with minimal supervision.
• Capable of plumbing with PVC, black iron and copper pipe.
• Able to cut with oxy/acetylene and plasma cutter, and use prints to troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on assigned production machinery, including analyzing and diagnosing.
• Report problems needing repair during PM and assist others when needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment using prints to identify and fix issues.

The Day shift Maintenance Technician is focused on working as team as well as being able to work independently while willing to be trained to work in other areas as needed and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

This role is perfect for an individual who:

• Always work in a safe manner and identify safety hazards
• Conduct themselves in a professional manner during the course of the workday
• Should be able to take care of tasks and assigned work as needed with little or no supervision

Job responsibilities include

• Perform maintenance on assigned production machinery, including analyzing & diagnosing
• Turn in problems with equipment that needs to be repaired on P.M.
• Help others with problems when needed

What We Are Looking For

• Should be able to wire in motors, motor starters, relays and other electrical equipment including Variable Frequency Drives with little or no assistance.
• Should be able to do all types of plumbing including PVC, black iron and copper pipe.
• Can cut with oxy/acetylene and plasma cutter.
• Should be able to troubleshoot most problems using prints.
