Job summary

Accredo Packaging, Inc. seeks an experienced maintenance technician to oversee the continued operation of production equipment. You will perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic repairs and carry out preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

You will coordinate with facility personnel, follow safety and GMP guidelines, and ensure accurate reporting and documentation. The role requires the ability to lift 100 lbs, work various shifts, and operate a forklift.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; maintenance license and certificates a plus.
  • 10+ years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment, or equivalent military experience.
  • Must have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • General mechanical skills and knowledge related to troubleshooting and service of various equipment.
  • Availability to work any shift with weekend rotation.
  • Must be able to lift/push 100lbs.
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • General electrical and mechanical experience.
  • Must be able to operate/train to operate a forklift.
  • Experience with rotating equipment.
  • Comfortable with computers and job reports.
  • Experience with multi-layer extrusion equipment, windmöller & hölscher (W&H) brand, printing presses, Kampf and Deacro, LEMO, Totani.

Responsibilities

  • Control the efficient operation of all production equipment by performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic repair and preventive maintenance.
  • Assure the preventative maintenance program is conducted and report improvements or upgrades to the preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Inform facility personnel or supervisor of necessary modifications or malfunctions.
  • Observe OSHA and safety rules, including PPE usage; report injuries, accidents, hazards.
  • Follow Food Safety guidelines and GMPs, maintaining an orderly work environment.
  • Promote equipment safety and develop programs to respond to emergencies.
  • Read equipment manuals and other information to assure proper operation and repair.
  • Audit and monitor systems, equipment logs, program logs, and team effectiveness.
  • Monitor, complete, and maintain efficient paperwork as needed.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
  • Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using testing devices.
  • Operate and train to operate a forklift.
  • Experience with rotating equipment.
  • Comfortable with computers and job reports.
  • Experience with W&H brands and related equipment.

  • Inform the appropriate facility personnel or supervisor of any necessary modifications or system malfunctions that would affect the area of operation.
  • Observe all OSHA and facility safety rules and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment; report all injuries, accidents, and hazards immediately.
  • Follow all established Food Safety guidelines and GMPs, including maintaining an orderly and clean work environment.
  • Promote equipment safety and develop programs to respond to unexpected emergencies.
  • Read equipment manuals and other sources of information to assure appropriate operation and repair of equipment.
  • Audit and monitor systems, equipment logs, program logs, and team effectiveness.
