Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience.
• General electrical and/or mechanical experience.
• Experience with multi-layer extrusion equipment like W&H.
• Experience with printing presses, specifically W&H brand.
• Experience with roll slitting machines, specifically Kampf and Deacro.
• Experience with wicketing machines, specifically LEMO.
• Experience with pouching machines, specifically Totani.
• Ability to operate Forklift, Scissor Lift, and Articulating Boom Lift.
• Experience with Maintenance Connection (CMMS) – a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keep crew organized and productive.
• Control operation of all production equipment.
• Serve as point of contact for management.
• Assure preventative maintenance program is conducted.
• Provide emergency repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
• Inform personnel of necessary modifications or malfunctions.
• Observe OSHA and facility safety rules.
• Follow established Food Safety guidelines.
• Promote equipment safety and develop emergency response programs.
• Read equipment manuals for proper operation and repair.
• Audit and monitor systems and equipment logs.
• Maintain accurate paperwork as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Keep crew organized and productive
  • Control the efficient operation of all production equipment by leading and organizing the team performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic repair and preventive maintenance.
• Serve as point of contact for management
  • Assure the preventative maintenance program is conducted and report improvements or upgrades to our preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Inform the appropriate facility personnel/supervisor of any necessary modifications or system malfunctions that would affect the area of operation.
• Help crew effectively execute the following tasks:
  • Observe all OSHA and facility safety rules and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment; report all injuries, accidents, and hazards immediately.
  • Follow all established Food Safety guidelines and GMPs, including maintaining an orderly and clean work environment.
  • Promote equipment safety and develop programs to respond to unexpected or emergencies.
  • Read equipment manuals and other sources of information to assure appropriate operation and repair of equipment.
  • Audit and monitor systems, equipment logs, program logs, and team effectiveness.
  • Monitor, complete, and maintain efficient and accurate paperwork as needed.

• Experience with printing presses, specifically Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H) brand.

• Experience with wicketing machines, specifically LEMO brand.
• Experience with pouching machines, specifically Totani brand.
• Ability to operate Forklift, Scissor Lift and Articulating Boom Lift.
